What To Expect As We Meet Under Level 3

Dear Church Family,

As we continue to navigate an unusual season, we will now start some physical meetings under lockdown level 3 from Sunday, 21 June. It is good to note that whatever we do, it will be less than church, as explained by the elders in the previous letter sent out. Please read through that letter again to acquaint yourself with the approach of the church during this time. It is worth noting that, per that letter, you are still encouraged to stay at home and participate through the live stream. It is also worth noting that we will have only one service.

Before You Come To The Service

If you are planning to come to church on Sunday, please fill in this form https://forms.gle/gF1wKUHgPF4hrAiX8 before Saturday at 12:00 noon. Please note that each individual coming must fill in the form; which means if a child is coming, a parent must fill in for their child.

You will notice that the form has two sections. If your answer is yes to any of the screening questions on Section 2, it is recommended that you stay at home.

The Service

When you arrive, your temperature will be taken and captured next to your details. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you. There will be ample hand sanitizer for you to use. There will be no physical bulletins; you will use the digital copy sent to you via email or Whatsapp.

Under level 3, we are unable to sing, hug, or share cookies together. Because we will not all be able to gather, we will not be able to have the Lord's Table, baptisms or take in members. We will also not be able to have creche or Sunday school.
So what can we do? We will have Scripture reading, prayer, and a sermon. We will hum along to some hymns played through the sound system. We will keep our distance from each other, and we are required to keep our masks on the entire time. We will sanitize our hands often, and we will say hi from afar.

For Those at Home

The live-stream will be on our YouTube Channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCH0AxJ8ZsftjIP52X-0xSfg. Please subscribe to the channel if you have not already, and click on the notifications button so that you will get a notification when the broadcast begins. Per normal, the broadcast will start at 9H00am but the service will start at 9h30. This will give those of us at home to greet one another on the chat section.

Hymns will show up on your screen with lyrics like they have been the past few weeks, so you are encouraged to sing doubly loud in your homes on behalf of those at the building who will not be able to!

For those with limited data, an audio version of the sermon will be posted on the church website later on Sunday (around lunchtime).

As always, Sunday School material and instructions for parents will have been emailed.

May the God of all grace strengthen us as we meet around his word.
